Bowling: 5000 Day Ban Means You've Been Permabanned from MW3

Earlier today, MP1st reported on an anonymous player who has been banned from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.  That's right, a 14 year ban.  While the exact reason for the ban wasn't explained, I'm assuming it was warranted.

Apparanty there's been enough discussion about the 5,000 day ban that Robert Bowling felt the need to address it via Twitter.  And no, the 5,000 day ban was not a mistake.

"#MW3 Player Banned for 5000 days?! Yes. If you see this message, it means you've been Permabanned (for something bad)," Bowling confirmed today.

So odds are, if you see this message, you are a cheating little b*tch who deserved to get banned.

Bowling clearly wasn't kidding when he warned cheating, hacking, or glitching wouldn't be tolerated.  Personally, I'm glad to see this kind of ban on a hacker.  Hopefully this will set an example to any future cheater out there looking to wreck the Modern Warfare 3 experience.

In other news, it was announced that IW has a planned update that "improves voice quality on PS3."  Unfortunately, it won't make it through certification until January.
