Blizzard’s Overwatch reaches 35 Million Players

The hero shooter continues grow on the verge of official league

On the verge of the Overwatch League's start date (expected to be announced at BlizzCon next month) and during their second annual, in-game Halloween Terror event, Blizzard has announced that their hero shooter has crossed yet another milestone, surpassing 35 million players.

Originally debuting back on May 24, 2016, Blizzard's Overwatch was an immediate success, hitting 7, 10, 25, 30, and now 35 million players. Gamers (and especially Cosplayers) took immediately to Overwatch's heroes, originally starting with 21, but the roster has since grown to 25 with the additions of Ana, Somba, Orisa and most recently, Doomfist.
