Black Ops 2 on Wii U won't support Call of Duty Elite at launch
Although Activision's Call of Duty Elite service will be free when Black Ops 2 launches this November, Nintendo Wii U owners might have to wait a bit longer before they'll be able to access the online social network. According to Activision, the Wii U version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 won't support Call of Duty Elite when the game releases.
"We are currently evaluating options for Call of Duty Elite to support Nintendo's Wii U game system," an Activision spokesperson told Kotaku, "however Call of Duty Elite for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will not support this platform when the game launches on November 13."
This news comes just a day after Activision admitted the Wii U version of Black Ops 2 might not support downloadable content. Earlier this week, it was reported that Activision and Nintendo were still discussing a DLC deal that would bring additional content Map Packs to the Wii U. While each of the packs will be available individually, the Black Ops 2 Season Pass bundles all of the future content together for a discounted price.
