Bizarre Creations Closing Down This Week
It seems that Activision is still making cuts. After the closure of 7 Studios and the unlcear future of FreeStyleGames, yet another subsidiary of the Guitar Hero and DJ Hero publisher will be shut down. Based in Liverpool, United Kingdom, the developer behind Geometry Wars, Project Gotham Racing, and Blur is set to close its doors this Friday.
Though the company fared well for the most part since 1994, the poor sales of recent titles such as Blur and James Bond 007: Blood Stone resulted in numerous layoffs. With a staff of roughly 200 employees, other developers have already been looking at Bizarre to recruit personnel.
