Star Wars: The Old Republic - 871398

As Star Wars: The Old Republic nears it's December 20th launch date and BioWare continues to send invites for Beta, they are stepping up security and implementing measures to ensure thatyour account and personal information are as secure as possible.  With taht being said they have begun implementing new securityfeatures within StarWarsTheOldRepublic.com.

These features include a refresh of their password security requirements.  In order to ensure all accounts comply with the new security measures, all members of the SW:TOR community who created their accounts on or before October 21st, 2011 will be required to reset their password to meet the new standards.  If you have created your account after October 21st, you will not receive an email.

"Over the next few weeks, we will be sending out emails to everyone who created an account on or before October 21st, 2011 to notify them that their password must be reset. You do not need to take any action prior to receiving an email."

The new password criteria requires passwords be 8-16 characters long and use at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.  BioWare also encourage users to change their password on a regular basis and to get the official custom branded Security AuthenticationKey, available in the Star Wars: The Old Republic Collector's Edition.
