Ben 10: Protector of Earth Joins the Ranks of PlayStation 2 Greatest Hits

Game Based on the Emmy-Winning Cartoon Network Show Achieves Sony Honor as it Surpasses 1.7 Million Units Sold Worldwide

D3Publisher’s phenomenally successful action platformer Ben 10: Protector of Earth has joined the PlayStation 2 official list of Greatest Hits titles. Based on the top-rated Cartoon Network original series that has become a favorite among boys, the game allows players to take on the role of hero Ben Tennyson, who uses the DNA-scrambling Omnitrix to morph into different alien forms and protect the Earth from danger. This Greatest Hits milestone offers savings for consumers, as Ben 10: Protector of Earth is now available on store shelves for a suggested retail price of $19.95.

“Ben 10: Protector of Earth was a great success for us, and notably has shipped more than 1.7 million units worldwide, which is proof-positive of the global appeal of both the franchise and D3Publisher games,” says Kim Motika, vice president of sales and operations, D3Publisher. “We’re honored to have this title join such a distinguished group as Sony’s Greatest Hits collection, and we look forward to bringing more Ben 10 fun to consumers with BEN 10 ALIEN FORCE The Game, shipping this October.”

“Ben 10 is a proven property that has achieved great accomplishments from record-breaking ratings to a top-selling toy line, and reaching this meaningful milestone with D3 as our partner is truly a high point in the success of the brand,” says Christina Miller, vice president of Cartoon Network Enterprises. “That Ben 10 has been so successful across so many categories is a testament to the strength of the brand as well as the quality of the products created by our partners.”
