Beautiful Indie Game Where Is My Heart? Drops Soon
I'm currently playing Rage, and so far, I have to say it may take home the prize of "most visually stunning game of 2011" for me. Hell, it's easily one of the best-looking games I've ever played, both from a technical standpoint and in terms of aesthetics. But in all honesty, after watching the recent trailer for Where Is My Heart?, Rage may have some competition.
The game's trailer, which is showcased in a dev post on the PlayStation Blog, shows off some of the worlds you'll be able to explore. Everything looks absolutely beautiful. And while some of you may find my comparison between a technical masterpiece like id Software's Rage and a 2D indie game from developer Die Gute Fabrik, I should probably point out that I have a very eccentric taste when it comes to visual presentation in games, and to be quite honest, Where Is My Heart? looks amazingly lovely.
In any case, the pretty graphical design isn't the only thing that makes me want Where Is My Heart? this very second. The platforming gameplay looks especially enjoyable, and the story behind it is incredibly meaningful. I would suggest you read the developer's post on the PlayStation Blog to gain a true understanding of the meaning behind this game.
Where Is My Heart? will be available for free for PlayStation Plus members this Tuesday, November 8. The rest of us will have to wait until November 22, when we can download the game for $6.99 to either our PlayStation 3 or PSP systems. For now, check out the trailer and be amazed by this game's music and art.
