Battlefield 1 'In the Name of the Tsar' expansion available for Premium Pass owners; Required online patch released, detailed
Get those tweaks, yo.
Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners can officially access the new expansion for the game, In the Name of the Tsar. This expansion brings new maps, a new mode, more weapons, vehicles, and a slew of fixes to Battlefield 1.
Unfortunately, those who are not Premium Pass owners will have to wait until September 19th to get in on all of the fresh content that the new expansion brings. Even though access to the expansion is limited to Premium Pass owners, that doesn't mean the details are too!
Below, you can find all of the content that the expansion is bringing. On the following page, you can check out all of the tweaks that come with the patch - which are fairly extensive.
As previously detailed, the update coming along with the expansion (which is a required update for all Battlefield 1 players to access online play) will bring Service Assignments and Specializations.
The Specializations will bring a new level of customization to players. At the start, players will only have three Specializations (Flak, Cover, and Quick Regen) and the rest (7 Generic Specializations and 2 Kit Specific Specializations) will be unlocked when you complete new Service Assignments. These assignments will begin with "Getting Started" and move on to more difficult "Staying Focused" challenges.
Without further ado, here's the new content.
- Galicia – An entrenched fight across a war-torn river valley.
- Brusilov Keep – A small village high in the Carpathians braces for a Russian siege.
- Albion – German ships invade the West Estonian Archipelago.
- Tsaritsyn – Old and new Russia clash in the war-torn streets of Tsaritsyn.
- Volga River – An epic tank battle along Volga River.

The team that recovers the most supplies at the end of the match wins.
