Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition to support cross platform play

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, the re-mastered version of the classic RPG, will feature cross-platform play.

The news comes via Twitter where creative director Trent Oster announced, "bgee will have co-op multiplayer and will work across platforms. iPad can play with Android, Mac and PC. On happy gaming family."

This means, come September's launch, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition will allow players on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices to adventure together and party up, regardless of platform. A definite step in the right direction for gaming.

Last week, Beamdog also announced Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition will arrive on September 18 for $19.99 and feature three new characters, an additional new six-hour long adventure, and over 400 gameplay and UI improvements.
