Backwards compatibility coming to Xbox One this November

Microsoft confirm arrival during Gamescom

Microsoft confirm arrival

During their press conference at Gamescom Microsoft has confirmed that backwards compatibility will be coming to Xbox One this November.

For those that are not aware, backwards compatibility will allow gamers to replay their Xbox 360 games on their next-gen console. This is an unrivalled concept since Sony has announced that the Playstation will not follow suit and run with a similiar idea.

Microsoft has also revealed that all future "Games with Gold" for the Xbox 360 will be made available on Xbox One platform.

After the concept was launched at this year's E3 trade fair, Microsoft has since asked gamers to vote for their favourite titles in order to give them an idea of what games people want to see.
