AT&T IS HOOKING UP VIRTUAL ROCKERS WITH GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR

Free Games, Exclusive Songs and a Music Gear Sweepstakes to be Delivered Exclusively From AT&T

Pull out the leather pants, call up your groupies and unleash your inner rock star. In conjunction with Activision Publishing Inc., AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced that aspiring rockers can soon get VIP access to Guitar Hero® World Tour, the recently released installment in Activision’s massively popular Guitar Hero® franchise.

AT&T is now offering a rockin’ deal to qualifying AT&T customers. Those who purchase new AT&T High Speed Internet or qualifying new U-verseSM TV plans will receive the Guitar Hero World Tour Complete Guitar Game, which includes the Guitar Hero World Tour console game and a new guitar controller. The game will feature AT&T branding in three of the game’s concert venues. Players will get to rock out in the game’s version of San Francisco’s AT&T Park and will also see AT&T billboards in the Pan Tang Bay and Times Square in-game venues.

“The Guitar Hero fans here at AT&T — and there are a lot of them — are thrilled about our participation in this year’s game,” said Glenn Broderick, executive director-Gaming, AT&T. “Guitar Hero World Tour is the best Guitar Hero yet, and we’re excited to make it available to our customers.”

In addition, AT&T’s wireless customers will have exclusive access to mobile game enhancements. Those who purchase Guitar Hero World Tour Mobile, available Nov. 14, will be able to download one of four exclusive game songs starting in December by:

1) accessing the AT&T MEdia Mall from the main menu of their wireless device and clicking on Shop Games,

2) visiting www.att.com/guitarhero  or

3) texting HERO to 7189. The other three songs will be available for download in early 2009.

“Guitar Hero III Mobile was a smash hit, and now we’re going bigger and better with Guitar Hero World Tour Mobile by giving customers access to exclusive songs from the mobile game,” said Rob Hyatt, executive director of Premium Content Services, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “The chance to take two hot trends — customizing mobile phones with music downloads and playing your favorite games — and integrate them into one cool experience is something we’re really excited about taking to our customers.”

AT&T is also holding a sweepstakes in which the winner will get the music gear he or she needs to start a real-life band. Visitors to www.att.com/guitarhero  can register for a chance to win a guitar, bass, drums and a $1,000 gift certificate from Guitar Center®, the world’s largest chain of musical instrument retailers.
