Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag DLC includes a playable first mate

A listing for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's Season Pass has revealed that downloadable content for the game will include extra single-player missions, multiplayer content, customizable bonuses, and the ability to play as Captain Edward Kenway's first mate, Adewale.

According to the Best Buy listing, pre-ordering the season pass will give you a chance to play as Adewale, "a new assassin who will take you even deeper into the real explosive events of the Golden Age of Pirates."

While it doesn't say how many downloadable content packs are planned for the new game, the grand total is expected to cost $40. Purchasing the Season Pass will save you $20 as it costs just $19.99.

Ubisoft hasn't actually confirmed a season pass for Assassin's Creed 4, but it can be presumed that it's already planned. Season passes are hardly new to the Assassin's Creed franchise; in AC3, the season pass content took you to an alternate version of history in which you were tasked with taking down a tyrannical King George Washington.
