ARK Park announced for PlayStation VR

Welcome … to Jurassic ARK

The developers behind ARK: Survival Evolved revealed their latest project, ARK Park, which is coming to PlayStation VR.

The trailer shows off a young girl roaming through a new dinosaur themed park *cough cough* Jurassic Park/World *cough cough* where she gets to interact with iconic creatures including a Tyrannosaurus Rex (which somehow doesn’t eat her).

ARK Park is said to be “an immersive VR experience that brings to life a world where living, breathing dinosaurs are still roaming the earth.

The trailer looks like something Disney would produce with its child-like wonder and orchestral music, and promises you will interact with these creatures and explore places like rain forests, snow-capped mountains, and even great plains.

Players will have to collect cubes of dinosaur code to upload to the park’s servers, and there’s also a photo mode that grants you extra points.

As easy as it is to call this a Jurassic Park rip-off, this looks like the type of game that’s perfect for the PSVR due to its promise for immersion and exploration.

ARK Park is expected to release sometime in 2017 for the PlayStation VR.
