An Update for Serious Sam 3: BFE Breaks Save Games

Serious Sam 3: BFE launched two days ago, and while I have yet to play it, I really look forward to eventually snagging it for myself. Unfortunately for those of you who may already be playing the PC version of the game, there's a bit of a problem. It turns out a save-breaking update was released.

Now, before you hate on developer Croteam, it's not like it planned for this to happen. The update was meant to fix some bugs. Sadly, things went awry and that's not what happened.

According to a post on Steam from Croteam, the update resulted in broken saves for levels one, two, nine, and 12. The worst part is that Serious Sam 3 has some pretty lengthy levels, with 12 lasting up to three hours, reports Destructoid.

According to the Croteam member who made the post, adding a new update will revert the levels and screw up the saves created today. Basically, you're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't. That's definitely a shame.
