Among the Sleep console release dates announced

Both Xbox and PlayStation

Krillbite, the studio behind Among the Sleep, has announced that the game will be releasing on console next week December 8th in the U.S. and the 9th in Europe. It will only released on the PS4 on these dates, however, as the studio indicated the Xbox One release date will be revealed later this month.

In a post over on the official site, Krillbite indicated that

Among the Sleep will be released on the 8th of December in America, and 9th of December in the rest of the world. To celebrate release we’ll be streaming the first hour of Among the Sleep on the 9th of December, from 8PM GMT on our Twitch-channel Krillbite Studio. (That’s at 12 PM PST for you people on the other side of the world). We’re going to play the game on PlayStation 4. You can log into your PSN account and register for the stream on your PlayStation 4!

Also! Bonus information! We’ll also reveal the release date of Among the Sleep for Xbox One later in December. Stay tuned on Twitter and Facebook for that!

In Among the Sleep, you control a toddler in a first person exploration game through your home while avoiding two separate monsters. As a toddler, you can fit through smaller openings and use your teddy bear to help guide the way. Hugging your teddy as every little kid does emits a light that lets you see where you are going. The light will fade eventually but simply hug the teddy again and it comes back with unlimited use.

I won't reveal much of the story as it's rather an emotional, family based one, but it is absolutely worth a try as the PC version was phenomenal. We'll keep you updated as soon as we hear the Xbox One release date.
