Alan Wake makes back PC port cost in 48 hours

For those questioning if the mystery based, third-person shooter, Alan Wake, would succeed on the PC - we have our answer.  In only two days’ time, the game sales have already paid off what it cost to port and market the game.  This makes the answer pretty clear; Alan Wake is successful for PC.

On the official Remedy forums, ajRMD (of Remedy) responded to the question ‘How are the PC sales going’ with:'

I wanted to chime in here. We are very happy with the sales and hitting #1 on Steam at launch was nothing short of amazing. We recouped our development and marketing expenses during the first 48 hours. And yes, we're certainly very excited about PC.

There is no vagueness in this statement.  I can see why Remedy would be excited about the PC port.  These sales make quite the statement towards companies who leave PC out of which platforms they release on.

You can pick up Alan Wake on PC for $29.99 through Steam download now.
