Actress Sigourney Weaver to Voice
Character in Ubisoft’s James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game

Other actors from the film to
lend voice to the game include Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi and Stephen
Lang

Today Ubisoft announced that
Hollywood actress Sigourney Weaver will voice the role of Dr. Grace Augustine
for Ubisoft’s video game, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game. Weaver’s character
will be featured in the versions of the game released on Xbox 360, the
PLAYSTATION 3, Wii and PC. Other actors from the film that will appear in the
game include Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi and Stephen Lang.

Rodriguez’s character, Trudy Chacon,
functions as the player’s chopper pilot throughout the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3
system and PC versions of the game. Ribisi reprises his role as the arrogant
Parker Selfridge, appearing exclusively in the Wii version of the game. The
film’s antagonist, Col. Quaritch, played and voiced by Lang, will appear in the
Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 system and PC versions.

"We are very excited to have actors
from the film provide voiceover work for the different versions of the video
game,” said Patrick Naud, executive producer for James Cameron’s Avatar: The
Game. "Having the characters from the film voiced by the actors that portrayed
them appear in the game adds a level of authenticity you just can’t get any
other way.”

James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game
will be available this Holiday season 2009 for Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 system,
Wii, PC, PSP, and Nintendo DSi. For more information, please visit
