Shrapnel Games announced today that the gold and ship date of it's upcoming 4X space conquest game, Space Empires: IV, have been pushed back. Richard Arnesen, Director of Covert Operations for Shrapnel Games, said, "Since this game has entered internal QA we have had numerous requests for added features and tweaks which have required additional testing to balance out the game. While we could have possibly made our September 1 gold date we thought it would be a good idea to give our testers an additional month to work out every bug and to make sure every possible consideration is given to play balance and added features. Overall it means a much better product for our customers, which I think is the most important thing."
