8-bit-inspired 'Voice Fantasy' Released by Square Enix

Hearkening back to the glory days of Nintendo, Square Enix's newest iPhone/iPad/Ipod Touch (4th gen.) game is "Voice Fantasy," a RPG game where you summon monsters using voices.

Unlike Song Summoner which had a self-contained storyline, Voice Fantasy appears to be entirely battle based. There are two modes, a single match which places two characters against one another and tag match which is two on two. In Demon King mode, you face off against monsters.

Players summon characters through speaking into your iDevice's microphone, creating characters with different jobs, abilities and personalities. The game cost $2.99 on Apple's App Store.

For more information about the game, visit Square Enix's official website.

Note: For gamers who own iPod Touches and don't own a microphone, you'll need a separate microphone.
