5,000 Testers For THE SETTLERS® IV
Blue Byte continues strengthening customer involvement with Beta Test Program
Blue Byte has had excellent experience with comparable projects and will again be conducting an online beta test, this time for its PC economic strategy game The Settlers® IV. In the course of the beta testing, Settlers players will have the opportunity to play a decisive role in the shaping of the game. This opportunity comes at a very early stage of development as the game is scheduled for release in November 2000.
The closed online beta testing for The Settlers IV will be conducted exclusively over the Internet. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Players interested in taking part can register online immediately and selected testers will receive a serial number by the end of July. With this serial number they can download the software and begin beta testing The Settlers IV. Test reports and suggestions for improvement will be sent to Blue Byte by email and used in the further development of the game. The software on the player's computer will automatically be updated online each time the program is started. In addition, the online beta testers will have the opportunity to discuss their impressions of the game in an online forum offered on the BLUE BYTE GAME CHANNEL http://www.bluebyte.net.
