6.5 million people got Angry Birds for Christmas

I won't lie, I am definitely not a fan of Angry Birds. How a simple physics game with some stupid bird characters can inspire a multi-million dollar media empire boggles my mind, and anytime I see some fat mom in an Angry Birds t-shirt I weep openly for the future of America.

C'mon casual gamers, you really can't be bothered to play anything more complex than a slingshot simulator?

Either way, the decline of good taste rocketed to new heights on Christmas day, as it seems every single owner of a new mobile device immediately made it their priority to drop a buck on a fresh copy of Angry Birds, to the tune of 6.5 million copies sold. At a buck a copy… well, if you can't do the math on that one, then you're probably part of the problem.

I've gotta admit, if I was Rovio Mobile I'd be a bit too greedy to keep selling the game for a buck. I mean, adding even a penny to the cost would've been an extra $65,000 in profit! You can import a pretty decent mail-order-bride for that kind of money!

What were we talking about again?
