FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MAX, DR. HAWKINS AND KURT ARE BACK FOR MORE
(MDK2 Hits Store Shelves For The PC.)

Irvine, California, May 30, 2000 - Interplay Entertainment Corp. (NASDAQ:IPLY) announced today that the Windows® version of the highlyanticipated sci-fi action thriller, MDK(tm)2, has rocketed onto store shelves.

Developed by BioWare Corp., the team that brought you 1998's "Best RPG of the Year, Baldur's Gate(tm)," MDK2 expands upon the legacy of action, intrigue and humor established by its predecessor, MDK*. "MDK2 turned out marvelously," stated BioWare Joint CEO, Greg Zeschuk. "I can categorically exclaim, MDK2 is more fun than a barrel full of monkeys."

Having recently shipped for the Sega Dreamcast(tm), it's not too early to say that MDK2 is a huge success. It is a top 10 Dreamcast title and recipient of numerous glowing reviews by the gaming industry. Daily Radar scored the game as a "Direct Hit," its highest rating. IGN bestowed a score of 9.4 (out of 10) upon the title. And EGM awarded it an "Editors' Choice Gold Award."

In MDK2 players will return to the mysteriously surreal world inhabited by Kurt Hectic, Max the robotic dog, and the eccentric Dr. Hawkins. The end result is a breathtaking and cinematic journey through ten levels of vast 3D environments and engaging storylines. Delivering the complete gaming experience, MDK2 offers superlative graphic detail, stunning visuals and dramatic gameplay.
