BELLEVUE, WA (May 5, 2000) -- Sierra Studios announced today the relaunch of their Homeworld: Cataclysm web site with more information on everything fans need and want to know about the next episode in the award-winning real-time strategy series, Homeworld. Consumer demand for more on this highly anticipated title, created by Canadian-based Barking Dog Studios, in conjunction with Relic Entertainment, spawned the new site found at http://www.sierrastudios.com/games/hwcataclysm.
The redesigned site, which will be continuously updated, showcases a plethora of new information with an overview of Homeworld: Cataclysm's features, a completely in-depth look at the back-story, answers to frequently asked questions, movie, screenshots, and concept artwork. There are also links to the latest Homeworld: Catalcysm news, previews, reviews and press releases.
Homeworld: Cataclysm extends Homeworld's revolutionary gameplay with entirely new fleets of ships, each with the ability to upgrade their capabilities, new research, fog-of-war, interface enhancements, mothership modules, damage control and way points.
Homeworld: Cataclysm continues the saga from the original Homeworld game and introduces a new threat from a techno-organic entity known as "The Beast." In addition to the eighteen new single player missions, Homeworld: Cataclysm will feature an improved multiplayer mode that allows for multiplayer games of up to eight players via WON.net, along with support for WON.net's enhanced ladder ranking system. Homeworld: Cataclysm is scheduled for a summer 2000 release.
