April 18, 2000, Austin, TX -- Due to an unprecedented demand from thousands of game hungry strategy fans since the previous episode was available over 5 years ago, Blue Byte Software has decided to launch the official BATTLE ISLE* series website in preparation of the sequel, BATTLE ISLE* : THE ANDOSIA WAR, later this year.

Autumn 2000 will see the fifth installment in the legendary strategy game series BATTLE ISLE* created by Blue Byte, and will ensure gamers are pitching their wits against each other in a unique blend of turn-based and real-time conflict simulation. Battle Isle* : The Andosia War will be coupled with sensational 3D graphics and an engrossing story that will show the shape of things to come in the development of the strategy game genre.

Blue Byte also plans to further expand the website on an interactive basis in the next few months to give hard-core strategy gamers a special opportunity to help shape the final form of the game in what could be one of the biggest online beta testing phases of all time. The official website will give fans a first impression of the sequel: a basic overview, some of the features, newsletter sign-up, the first shots of BATTLE ISLE* : THE ANDOSIA WAR and gives an early indication of the high quality graphics in the strategy game. In addition, a 'History' area offers extensive information about the games that have previously appeared in the BATTLE ISLE and INCUBATION series. The absorbing background story for BATTLE ISLE* has become a trademark for the series. The timeline on the website now allows gamers and fans to obtain an overview of past events and the history of the planet Chromos and more recently the activities with lead Incubation characters, Rutherford and Bratt. The website conveys the atmosphere of conflict pervading the entire series. The Battle Isle series website will be updated often to allow gamers a chance to follow this game through the development cycle.

Blue Byte Software will be presenting Battle Isle* : The Andosia War during Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) commencing May 11th in Los Angeles, where media will have the opportunity to meet with two lead project managers. The website will also be updated at this time with additional game information & more screenshots.
