ASHERON'S CALL EVENT UNDERWAY - CITIZENS BRACE FOR NEXT INVASION
Microsoft announced today that the "Thorns of the Hopeslayer" event is now well underway, having launched last week in the dynamic world of Asheron's Call. However, Dereth's citizens, fearful that another invasion may soon shatter their world once again, have put out a call to arms to repel the sinister Shadow creatures.
Last weekend, the Shadows that had been gathering for months in the wilderness began a massive, coordinated attack. Led out of the Direlands in the West by three Shadow Captains, the undead monsters moved toward the inhabited lands of northern Osteth. Dereth's heroes checked the advance just on the edge of civilization. However, there is little call for rejoicing, for as the last Shadow Captain fell, he promised there would be a sequel to the invasion, involving even more powerful minions of evil.
