3DS Battery Life Revealed


The more things change, the more they stay the same: Nintendo has revealed that the 3DS will provide roughly 3-5 hours of gameplay based on the brightness setting.

The fact that the brightness setting affects the drain rate is nothing new, but the fact that the 3DS will have a shorter battery life than the DS is somewhat disappointing. Obviously the 3DS is more powerful, but then shouldn't its components also be?

The 3DS will take approximately 3.5 hours to charge, potentially requiring the handheld to charge for longer than it can actually be played.

No thanks. I think I'll wait for the Limited Pikachu 3DSi XL Lite Collector's Edition of the Year. Besides, I've already played Ocarina of Time...
