Metro Redux compares current-gen to last-gen, and it looks glorious

Metro Redux is only a few weeks away from release, and will allow new players to experience both Metro games in glorious high resolution and silky smooth 60 frames per second. Or maybe you've played the Metro games on last-gen consoles, and you're itching to play the games in the state they were meant to be played in.

The game, releasing on August 26th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, will come with enhanced graphics, silky smooth frame rate, and all DLC included. The games will be available digitally for $24.99 each, as well as a physical copy which will have both games and retail for $49.99. Either way, everyone's a winner.

There will also be two new difficulty modes. Spartan is close to the Last Light experience, but Survival is for purists, where resource management is vital, enemies will hunt you down with ferocity, and reload times are slightly longer. Of course, Ranger Mode also makes a return, where enemies are tougher and the UI is turned off.

The trailer truly highlights how much better the games look when compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3 footage.
