When Electronic Arts' EA Access program launches on Xbox One later this month, you won't need an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription to, pardon the pun, access the content.

According to the FAQs on the EA Access website, Any Xbox One gamer can join EA Access and take advantage of the beneifts of membership." However, if you plan on playing any of EA's games online, and we all know you will because, Battlefield (come on), then you will need a subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold. So nothing new there really.

A membership to EA Access will cost $5 per month, or $30 for a full-year. The subscription will give you unlimited access to Electronic Arts' "The Vault," a fancy name for its library of games. The subscription also entitles you to a 10% discount on all EA digital games and content, as well as five days early access to new EA games.

EA Access is currnetly in beta right now, offering members FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2 and Battlefield 4, with "more to come in the future." The service will only be offered on Xbox One, as Sony said it doesn't "represent good value to the PlayStation gamer."
