Guardians of the Galaxy mobile game launches today for iOS, Android, and Windows devices

Disney is wasting no time in its multifront assault with Guardians of the Galaxy. Today, the company released Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon, a new mobile game with a completely original storyline inspired by the film.

The game is described as sci-fi action role-playing game that "takes the Guardians and their allies on an intergalactic adventure to recover the five pieces of The Universal Weapon."

Marvel fans will recruit and train additional heroes, engage in gesture-based team combat, and unlock each piece of the story to unveil the identity of the Guardians’ shadowy nemesis.

Other features of the game include the gesture-based real-time battles, 25 unlockable characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy universe, 6 inter-galactic worlds with more than 60 unique levels, as well as two separate modes: Battle Mode and Arena Mode.
