Titanfall's launch day patch now available on Xbox One; 840MB in size
Stand by for Titanfall, folks. The highly anticipated multiplayer shooter is due out next Tuesday, March 11, but the launch day patch is now available for download on the Xbox One -- provided you already have the game early.
MP1st reader Cyren posted a photo of the Xbox One update screen confirming a download size of 840MB for the patch. At this point it's unclear what the day-one update does exactly as developer Respawn Entertainment has not yet posted the change-log.
I know day-one updates suck, but the good news is that you can download it if you are one of the lucky ones who snagged a legit copy of the game early. What's more, Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella has confirmed that people who play the game prior to its launch won't be banned, as long as it's a legit copy of the game you are playing.
About playing early: We won’t stop or ban legit copies. It is prelaunch, so there may be interruptions in service as we prep servers.— Vince Zampella (@VinceZampella) March 7, 2014
