PSN maintenance causes Netflix login issues for some; Sony offers solution
Following yesterday's PlayStation Network maintenance, it appears that some PlayStation owners are unable to access their Netflix accounts. According to several GameZone readers and multiple users in the PlayStation forums, there seems to be an issue with logging into the actual Netflix app. Apparently, it repeatedly informs you that "PSN sign-in is required."
Sony has acknowledged the issue and urges anyone experiencing similar problems with Netflix to simply uninstall and reinstall the app, or refresh your Netflix login information. To refresh your Netflix login information, just follow these steps:
Begin from the PS3 Home Screen.
- If you're not already at the home screen, hold the PS3 button in the middle of the controller, select Quit, then select Yes to return to the home screen.
- Navigate to the TV/Video Services section and highlight Netflix.
- Press X.
- Immediately after pressing X, press and hold both Start and Select and continue to hold them down until a message appears asking Do you want to reset your Netflix settings and re-register?
- Select Yes.
- Enter your Netflix email address and password.
