Speaking with Siliconera, WayForward Technologies -- the developer behind Mighty Switch Force and Bloodrayne Betrayal -- said that they hop to bring the enhanced port of Mighty Switch Force 2 to the Wii U eShop in October. WayForward director James Montagna also said that the MSF2 will have a different look that their other Wii U port, Mighty Switch Force: Hyperdrive Edition

Montagna said, "It's a pixel version of the game with high-definition interstitial screens, so it won't be quite like Hypderdrive Edition or anything like that.

Wayforward wasn't even going to port MSF2 to the Wii U. Fan feedback in Miiverse convinced them to bring the game to the Wii U. "On Miiverse, the Mighty Switch Force community has been very vocal about bringing Mighty Switch Force 2 to the Wii U. We had no intentions of bringing it to the Wii U, originally. Mighty Switch Force: Hyperdrive Edition was an experiment, something we just wanted to try out -- but because of feedback we are bringing Mighty Switch Force 2 to the Wii U. We caved."
