Infinity Blade 3 unveiled at today’s Apple event; coming to iOS September 18

I feel like Apple should call their Keynotes something like, "New Infinity Blade Game Press Conference." That's exactly what was announced today, as Apple measures their progress in new Infinity Blades. Chair Entertainment co-founder and creative director Donald Mustard stood front and center and unveiled Infinity Blade 3, the "epic conclusion of the Infinity Blade trilogy," which we all know it won't be because businessmen like making money.

Running on the just-announced iPhone 5S — which is five times faster than the iPhone 5, so it's a good thing they have '5' in the name — Mustard went into some details on Infinity Blade 3. There will be two playable characters in the game, the warrior Siris and the stealthy female warrior-thief Isa. Both Siris and Isa have their own combat styles and collectable weapons and items. There's also a new hub called the Hideout that players will use as a base of operations, discovering the world map and unlocking new allies to join their cause.

The story details remain a secret, but the trailer (which you can watch below) is cool as f*ck. Also, John Noble — from Fringe, which I'm currently obsessed with, and Lord of the Rings — has been brought on to voice The World of Secrets. That's the bad guy.

Epic Games announced a September 18 launch date for Infinity Blade 3, the same day that Apple releases the iOS 7 officially. You'll be able to find it in the App Store for $6.99; it will be compatible with the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, iPod touch 5 and iPod touch 4. So me and my pathetic first-gen iPad, which isn't even supported anymore, can go f*ck ourselves.
