Gameplay footage from Whore of the Orient has been leaked, revealing the game's core mechanics in the open-world, Eastern setting. Maybe not-so-surprising, it looks like it plays very similar to LA Noire — which shouldn't come as a shock given that the game comes from Brendan McNamara, the creator of LA Noire, and many of the remaining Team Bondi staff.
The chase sequence and shooting mechanics are particularly reminiscent of LA Noire, but hopefully it offers a little more challenge. LA Noire's chase sequences often felt scripted and planned, speeding up and slowing down your character's run speed at certain portions. Combat also looks a little stiff, though it's unknown at what stage in development the game is in.
Back in August, we received our first official details regarding Whore of the Orient. The most notable being that the game is expected to be released on PC and next-gen consoles.
