The hot-headed and trigger-happy Johnny Gat is back! Deep Silver today posted a piece of artwork of the 3rd Street Saint, thought to be deceased, with the tagline "Gat is back."

"Exciting news just in... We can confirm that Johnny Gat will be returning in Saints Row 4," Deep Silver said alongside the picture. What remains to be seen is whether or not this is the real Johnny Gat or just be a simulation.

Gat, for those unfamiliar, was killed off in Saints Row: The Third so his inclusion in the upcoming game is a bit of a mystery. It's possible, and quite likely, that Gat's appearance in Saints Row 4 is merely a clone brought on by the evil alien leader Zinyak who transports the Saints to an alternate version of Steelport.

Looks like we'll have to wait until the game's release to find out. Saints Row 4 is due out on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on August 20 in North America.
