Gareth Bale, one of the Barclays Premier League's "most accomplished talents," will appear on the cover of FIFA 14 in the UK, Ireland, and Middle East, alongside Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi.

“To be on the front cover is a massive honor," Bale said. "When you look at the calibre of players that have been on there in the past they are legends of the game, so for me to be here now is a dream come true.”

As one of this year's FIFA cover athletes, Bale will serve as an "EA Sports Football ambassador" and will become the "cornerstone of marketing and advertising campaigns in the UK and Ireland." The Spurs winger will appear on the cover of FIFA 14 on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
