Anonymous 'good Samaratin' posts $500K bail for jailed League of Legends teen
A teenage gamer who was jailed for comments made while playing League of Legends was released on bail thanks to an "anonymous good Samaritan" who posted the necessary $500,000.
19-year-old Justin Carter was arrested over four months ago when he got in an argument over the online multiplayer game in which someone called him "crazy." Carter's response: "I'm f—ed in the head alright. I think I'ma shoot up a kindergarten and watch the blood of the innocent rain down and eat the beating heart of one of them."
Although he followed up with "lol" and "jk," authorities didn't take too kindly to his statement. After being reported to authorities by a local woman Carter was arrested and now awaits trial for the third-degree felony of making "terroristic threats." If convicted, he could face up to a decade in prison.
