NewsPS Vita gets its own 'Indie Games' category on PSN
The Indie Games category recently introduced on the PlayStation Store last month for PlayStation 3 has been brought over the PS Vita and is now live. With over 50 indie titles "currently in development" for the PS Vita, "with more on the way," this should help Vita owners easily discover the latest indie games available on Sony's handheld device.
Hotline Miami is the first game to join this new category which is already populated by 52 other games, including Gucamelee! Limbo, Machinarium, Sound Shapes, and Thomas Was Alone. Looking ahead, Vita owners can expect the addition of Spelunky, Terraria, Flower, Hohokum, and Counter-Spy, in addition to many other titles.
"At PlayStation, we’re proud to support indie development, and our unrestrictive policies make it easier than ever for developers to launch games on PS Vita. We recognize that the unique perspective that indie developers deliver contributes to the success and future of the gaming industry. And we’ve learned as much from working with talented indie developers over the last several years as (we hope) they have learned from us," SCEA's Don Mesa said.
Hey, PlayStation <3's Devs, right?
