NewsDark Souls 2 release window narrowed to March 2014
Thanks to an enormous sign on full display at the LA Convention Center, we now know Dark Souls 2 will be released in March 2014 -- barring any setbacks. It appears Namco wants to make a splash at E3 -- held in that same convention center next week -- with the highly anticipated sequel to 2011's Dark Souls.
While the banner advert seems to indicate just about all we need to know, we're still awaiting official word from Namco. With Souls series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki moving into more of a supervisory role on the game, Dark Souls 2 is being directed by Tomohiro Shibuya who drew criticism last year when he suggested the sequel will be "more accessible and easier to understand." A 12 minute gameplay video released in April seemed to suggest otherwise, however.
With a giant ad on display at E3, you can bet we'll be seeing more of Dark Souls 2 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Be sure to tune in to GameZone.com for all your E3 coverage.
