NewsDon't you dare think about standing your Xbox One up vertically
While the Xbox 360 was capable of resting both horizontally and vertically while on display, the Xbox One is meant to sit horizontally, a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed. This is apparently due to the design of the airflow and venting system which was "optimized for this horizontal orientation."
And what happens when you stand it up? The entire console heats up and explodes into a giant black hole that sucks you, and everything you love, into it.
Actually, I made that last bit up, but it seems Microsoft really doesn't want you to store it vertically. Although, I wouldn't be too surprised if something similar were to happen. Red ring of death part two, perhaps? Or maybe nothing happens at all. You stand up your Xbox One and let me know how it goes.
