Plants vs. Zombies 2 raises an army this July

After riding high on the original's success for years, PopCap is finally narrowing down the release window for Plants vs. Zombies 2.

The new game will launch in July, according to the developer. Plants vs. Zombies community marketing manager Stephanie Bayer announced the news over Twitter today.

The promotional video basically iterates that yes, finally, the game is coming.

We learned about the sequel back in March, when PopCap also revealed it was working on a limited, regional beta of a Facebook game in the tower-defense series called Plants vs. Zombies Adventures. It takes the turf war out of the backyard and onto the road.
