NewsFIFA 14 could be headed to PS4, Xbox 720 as well
Earlier today EA lifted the curtain on FIFA 14. As part of this unveiling they announced it would be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. However, hidden at the bottom of the official press release was some information that might suggest FIFA 14 will also be a next-gen title.
"Additional platforms will be revealed in the months ahead," the press release reads. In all likelihood, this refers to already-announced platforms like the Vita, Wii U, and 3DS; however, given that EA has not ruled it out, it could also suggest a possible release on the PlayStation 4 and currently unannounced next-Xbox.
FIFA 14 doesn't yet have a release date, but if it follows the release cycle of its predecessors we're looking at a late September launch. This would put it slightly ahead of the expected PS4 release, which means it could very well be a launch title on the new PlayStation and next Xbox as well.
