NewsBattlefield 4's artwork is quite similar to that of Battlefield 3
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It doesn't look like much of an attempt was even put in to improve upon it. Battlefield 4 won't officially be unveiled until March 26, but an alleged first look at the official artwork reveal the game retains the same art style and color scheme as Battlefield 3. Check out the image above for a supposed first look. Pretty damn similar, right?
It also appears Battlefield 4 will take place in a modern setting, though this doesn't come as much of a surprise. Back in August of last year DICE GM Karl Magnus Troedsson already revealed the studio's intentions of keeping Battlefield 4 in a modern day setting.
"We still want to stay in this genre, the modern day as it is," DICE GM Karl Magnus Troedsson said last year. "We feel this is a place we can be and continue with the series. Battlefield 4 can live in this space and be very successful."
Hopefully, we'll have a better idea of the game's premise and setting when it's shown off to us at GDC later this month. A beta for Battlefield 4 is set to take place this fall. Anyone who pre-ordered Medal of Honor: Warfigther Limited Edition will be able to participate, though DICE has said there will be other ways to gain access.
