NewsFarSight: 'The Pinball Arcade on PS4 will be amazing!' Yep, it's coming.
Rest easy, Pinball fans. The next PlayStation won't just be intense first person shooters and gorgeous car games. You'll get your fair share of ball slapping action when the PS4 releases later this year, as FarSight Studios' lead designer Bobby King has confirmed The Pinball Arcade will be available on Sony's next console. For those unfamiliar, The Pinball Arcade is exactly what it sounds like -- a simulated collection of real pinball tables that you can enjoy on your home console or mobile device.
"Pinball Arcade looks really nice on PS3, but just wait until you see it on PS4!" he teased. Some new improvements specifically for the PS4 version include rendering tech for per pixel ray casting, area lights/shadows, point lights, and screen space ambient occlusion (more shadows!). Yes sir, pinball will never be the same once you've played it on the PlayStation 4 -- not even in real life. This is the next generation, folks.
"We’re very confident that we can add all of these features on the PS4 and maintain the smooth 60 fps that you need in a pinball game," King concluded. "We’ll also be updating the physics and gameplay on all of the DLC tables we release. The Pinball Arcade on PS4 will be amazing!"

Sony's PS4 interface video is the most awkward thing I've ever seen, but the features are awesome!
