NewsSee Splinter Cell: Blacklist's night vision mode in action
Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video showing off one of the franchise's most iconic tools, Sam Fisher's night vision goggles. As Community manager Zack Cooper explains in the video, these goggles are one of the first items you'll receive upon starting the game and you'll "absolutely need and rely on them in certain parts of the game."
The video contains some brief gameplay when Sam has the goggles equipped. The most noticeable feature is the moment it takes for Sam adjust to the darkness. This is to keep the game feeling "realistic," according to Cooper. There will be other visual details added in the future, though this video is a nice indicator of what you should expect when Blacklist ships in August.
Check out the video below and share your thoughts. It's quite a change from the action-packed trailer we saw a while back -- the one that took place in broad daylight. It's nice to see Ubisoft is returning to the series roots and keeping Sam under the cover of darkness.
