Get a double dose of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate with demos on Wii U and 3DS
We're less than a month away from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate making its way to store shelves for both the 3DS and the Wii U. However, you can get your first taste of this monster-sized game on both systems, as the demo officially became available today through the Nintendo eShop.
The demo will only be relagated to single player, so those hoping to try out questing with friends will have to wait until March 19th. It will feature two quests, a beginner and intermediate quest, which will have players brave the elements of the frozen tundra against the Lagombi, and then fight the aquatic Plesioth on both land and water.
In Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, players take on the role of a hunter sent to explore a settlement within the Monster Hunter universe, completing quests on their journey to seek and slay monsters while improving their skills and earning equipment upgrades. With many challenging monsters and over 200 quests, the latest addition to the series is set to be the most expansive offering to date. The game can be played alone and offers a bevy of multiplayer set-up options: online (up to four players) on the Wii U system, or locally using up to four Nintendo 3DS systems or a combination of up to three Nintendo 3DS systems and one Wii U system.
