NewsWatch out Wii U, PS4 will offer Remote Play with Vita
The Wii U is in trouble. Sony announced tonight that the PlayStation 4 will offer remote play via the PlayStation Vita. What this means is that you will now be able to transfer your game from the big screen television to the Vita's 5-inch screen.
Why would you do this? As David Perry, CEO and founder of Gaikai, asked, "What if you're in the middle of a game on the PlayStation 4 and your kids run in and take over the living room?" With Remote Play, you can give up the television and transfer your game over to the Vita, allowing you to continue playing without interruption -- similar to what the Wii U offers with its GamePad controller.
"It's our goal to make every game playable via Remote Play," Perry said.
