NewsBlizzard Entertainment bringing Diablo 3 to the PS4; hopes for world domination
First time they've been on stage for any console, Blizzard Entertainment's Chris Metzen stepped up to speak at Sony's PlayStation 4 reveal event. Metzen said, "Blizzard and Sony have entered a strategic partnership through which we will take over the world." Usually playing on the PC side of the street, they've been challenged with how they can translate a franchise to console. "Extraordinarily easy conversion path from the PC world" is one of Sony's design goals.
With that, the game Blizzard Entertainment is bringing to the PlayStation 4 is... Diablo 3. They've optimized the control scheme, user interface, how you control the avatar -- everything. "Diablo 3 has never been easier to play," explained Metzen.
In the coming months, Blizzard will formally debut the game on the PS4, probably at PAX East. They're excited about the product, but are you? Does Diablo 3 on the PlayStation 4 make you salivate?
