NewsOh look, another photo of the PS4 prototype controller
A new photo of what appears to be the PlayStation 4 controller has popped up online. The controller appears the exact same as the one in yesterday's picture which was said to be an "early prototype." This image shows an alternate angle, revealing a what looks like a 3.5mm audio jack located below the PS button. Upon closer inspection of the controller, there appears to be a built in speaker just above the PS button which could explain the need for an audio jack.
Destructoid posted a photo yesterday of a similar-looking prototype controller. It had the same rounded sides, "belly button" analog sticks and, most notably, the small touchscreen in the middle. As it was mentioned, sources say the photo was real, but that it is an early prototype. It's believed that the touchscreen will remain part of the design.
Sony appears ready to unveil the PS4 at an event next week. It will be interesting to see how the controller has evolved from the prototype to final iteration.
