NewsBehind-the-scenes videos for God of War: Ascension trailer have makeup, talent, and goatees
Sony Santa Monica has released some behind-the-scenes videos that give a closer look at the creation of the recent God of War: Ascension trailer. The ad is quite impressive, showing off the hulking Ghost of Sparta in all of his badass glory ... before he breaks down and falls to his knees. But that's beside the point. The fact of the matter is that even when he's visibly upset, Kratos looks like a dude who you just don't mess with.
The first behind-the-scenes video shows how the makeup artists brought Kratos to life. It looks like quite the painstaking task, but I think these talented folks managed to pull it off in the end. I mean, model Brandon White definitely looks like Kratos, who in this trailer shows his more human side. Also, dat goatee!
The second video gives a quick look at the Spartan army and how it was created. It's especially interesting to see how all of the soldiers' garbs and armor were literally built from scratch.
